Geiger v. Kitzhaber: Three Amicus Briefs Filed in Support of Plaintiffs’ Rights to Equality

In an Amicus brief supporting Geiger v. Kitzhaber, the legal case for marriage equality for gay and lesbian Oregonians, Oregon United for Marriage announces that it will not proceed with a state-wide ballot measure if the judge rules in plaintiffs’ favor.

Oregon Area Jewish Committee and the Oregon Board of Rabbis clarify that recognizing a right to marriage equality does not infringe on religious liberty.

Nike and 35 other Oregon employers explain that Oregon’s governmental ban on gay marriage forces private employers to participate in the discrimination and is bad for business.
